For food and transportation, if you are travelling with low bugget, 25sgd a day should be enough, if it's okay for you to spend more, it could be 25sgd up to 50. You can get a good meal at a good restaurant for atleast 40sgd in some places, and there are local delicacies as cheap as 5sgd a meal, it depends. Normal 3-4 stars may range from 200sgd to 350sgd, 5 stars may range from 350 up to 1000sgd. There are also hostel-like places which cost roughly 70sgd a night for two. The local lrt/mrt rides are normally 1-2sgd and this should let you travel quite a far range, from your hotel to tourist destinations etc. hope this helps.

Quick tip, do not talk loudly, eat chewing gums or litre in Singapore, the fines are 500sgd and up. It's a 'fine' country.

The best and cheapest way for you to travel to Singapore is to find a local tour and travel agent where you are who can give you a package of air tickets, hotels and even sightseeing thrown in.

You can also extend the days of stay here by getting the agent to extend your hotel rooms by the number of days that you want to stay in Singapore and get them to book your return ticket to the date of your intended departure.

Food and transport in Singapore is quite reasonable , so allow about $ 10 each day for transport by MRT and for food about $20 each day. The hotel stay for the extension should cost about $100 per day, but confirm with your agent on this.

cheap lodges are in little india and bugis.... 50 sgd a night for a single person... good thing is singapore is well connected by buses and subway so you dont need to use taxis at all. Food is also cheap.... simple meal starts from 5 sgd onwards.... shopping + accommodation are expensive the rest is pretty much cheap.... it depends on your level of interests... it is 25 sgd if you want to see singapore skyline from observation deck...it is 9 sgd if you want to take airport shuttle to your hotel
