Average height and weight in Singapore?

Question

It's harder for me to find clothes in the Asian country I've been too because my size is the average American size. I'm trying to lose weight before I go to Singapore so clothes will be easier to find (and for aesthetics).
What is the average weight and height of a local Singaporean girl?

I'm sure we have 'big girl' sections in departments stores everywhere in Singapore so don't worry about getting clothes your size. We have plenty of 'large' people here too... Unless you're thinking of fitting into a size 5 dress when your a size 7 then i would suggest you cut down on the burgers and fries :)

If I remember correctly for average height of SIN girls, it is 159cm. Weight is about 48 kg. You'll most likely see girls of this built everywhere you walk. There're an increasingly number of younger Singaporeans (teens and 20s) who are taller than the rest, probably because of the increasingly affluence of the nation. Some of them can be over 170cm.



In Singapore, you can go to Marks and Spencer or Dorothy Perkins to find larger size clothes, of which you'll have to pay about twice (and slightly more) the price of normal clothings. Most shops sell clothes that can fit up to US Size 12-14 for big-sized Singaporean girls. As I don't know your exact size, I'm just recommending that you give the clothes a try to see if you can fit in nicely.



Well, the sizes for ladies' clothings are getting larger to accomodate bigger-sized local women and foreigners. However, I must say that the design and variety is rather limited. It does pay to slim down abit so that you look better and have a higher chance to get more lovely clothings.

Singapore is very open to foreginers, thus daily necessities do cater for them as well. Thus, you shouldn't have problem to find the correct size clothing in most department store.

i agree that we have lots of shops selling big size clothes, you can also try online, you can try go to this local site 88db,and search for any size clothes that you want

I read this many years ago, according to this report, the average height of a Singaporean girl is 162cm. For guys, it is 172cm.

The average weight I do not remember, but with the current 'thin' craze going on worldwide, It's very rare to spot girls who are heavier than 50kg.

most girls here are short, around 1.62cm, so i'm considered tall at 1.72.

and most of us are skinny, with a BMI of 20 being considered 'fat'. not fat fat, just not really desired.
