My boyfriend lives there and says it was banned there. A Clockwork Orange is my absolute favorite film. Why'd they ban it there? He says they can actually fine you for having it, even though it's in a different language.

It's just got a lot of controversial topics weaved within it's pages. Like rape, political Justice, swearing... you know, it's just a book people wouldn't want their kids to get a hold of by accident.

It's a good movie, but I think we both know why it's banned.

Nothing should be banned though imo.

It is banned due to its content. It is very violent, includes rape scenes and other obscene aspects. Singapore officials would view the movie as smut, and they probably assume it promotes rape and violence.

Obviously because it is a violently horrific movie...some countries refuse to see it as art...you figure it out.
