As Singapore is a south east asian country, it means that alot of different races migrated to this island a longgg time ago.
hence, our country is made up of the four main races, such as the Chinese, Malay , Indian and Eurasian communities.
As with our language, our first language is English.
Second language will be our mother tongue. For example, if you are a chinese, you would speak and learn mandrin in school. And Malays will speak Malay, Indians Tamil and Eurasians, depending on which country you come from. As the term Eurasian can mean all the way from America to European Countries.
I am a Singaporean Chinese, which means that in school, I learn and speak English, but during mother tongue class, I would attend Mandrin lessons :)
I hope this answers your question!
