It is a country, generally referred to as a "City State". Locals are known as Singaporean and are in 3 main ethnic groups - Chinese, Indian & Malay. English is the common language.

it's a multi cultural city...

it used to be part of malaysia, but it chooses to stand alone as a country...

it has a diverse culture...different race, like indian, chinese, malay, peranakan, and some expats who settles there...

by the way, peranakan is a mix of malay and chinese race...

and the people are called simply singaporean...

they speak singlish...
